2 Different Versions of KARA's "Jumping" In Rekochoku's Ranking !


Rekochoku released its January 13th Video Clip Daily Ranking and 2 different versions of KARA’s 2nd single “Jumping” were in the TOP5 at the same time.

The 2 versions are the “Jumping –au Smart Sports ver.-“ released on January 12th and the original version of “Jumping” released in November 2010. On the daily ranking the “Jumping –au smart Sports ver.-“ ranked 1st and the original “Jumping” ranked 5th.

The 1st place “Jumping –au Smart sports ver.-“ is the music video from the KDDI & Okinawa Cellular December 2010 campaign “au Smart Sports Run & Walk”. The 5 members of KARA appear in the music video as cheerleaders as well as wearing cute running wear.

Also, the music video for KARA’s 1st single “Mister” is 2nd in the same ranking, it’s become a long hit.

KARA reveals “I’ll Write You A Letter” MV

Earlier today, KARA released the audio track for their featured remake of Lena Park’s “I’ll Write You A Letter” off producer Kim Hyung Suk’s “2011 Kim Hyung Suk With Friends Part. 1″ album.

On January 13th, the music video for the track was released. Although the members of KARA are not featured in the music video, the music video features the artwork of a sand artist by the name of Ji Soo. The sand art tells the story of a princess who writes a letter to her love asking him to save her from her tower. It’s a rather unique interpretation of the song, and it captures the sweet spirit of the song into a music video format.

Although eliminated in JYP audition, Goo Hara, IU, CL get a big succes: "Is Park Jin Young hurt?"


JYP audition for JYP entertainment gained attention because they have eliminated talented stars.

Recognized as a booster of ‘mainstream’ singer, IU also has experienced to be eliminated from JYP audition. IU’s audition video in the most recent JYP Entertainment audition in 2008 has become a hot topic.

Unfortunately, IU who sang a Bubble Sister’s song ‘So Much Love, So Much Laughter’ was eliminated.
At the moment, IU did recording together with Park Jin Young for the OST of KBS 2TV drama ‘Dream High’. IU said, “It’s the first time to be involved in an OST recording. I have seen the company president at audition and do recording together is a blessed for me.”

Goo Hara, member of girl group Kara that is very popular in Japan, also has participated in JYP audition. At 2008 JYP Entertainment audition, in fact Goo Hara was gaining interest. Although has an impressive performance in final audition, Goo Hara was eliminated. Although failed in JYP Entertainment Audition, Goo Hara won best female MC awards at KBS Enterntainment Awards last year. Kara’s Japanese debut song ‘Mister’ was selected by local broadcasting program as hit song and received a lot of love.

Lee Ki Kwang ‘Beast’ originally is a trainee in JYP. Recently, Park Jin Young appeared on KBS 2TV ‘Win Win’, MC Lee Ki Kwang explained the reason why he did not debuted with JYP, “I have recognized my talent”

Instead of debuted with JYP, he debuted as a member of ‘Beast’ from Cube Entertainment that was founded 3 years ago by Hong Seung Song, the former president of JYP Entertainment. Beast, idol with excellent vocal and splendid performance, successfully sold out the tickets for their first concert. Beast also has received a lot of love from fans.

CL ‘2NE1’, from YG Entertainment, also was a trainee in JYP. CL still maintains her close relationship with JYP singers and also supports them. 2NE1 first album has 3 title songs, they are Can’t Nobody, Go Away, and Clap Your Hands has dominated the music chart last year. 2NE1 received Top Ten Award in Melon Awards, along with Album of The Year, and Best Girl Group Award.

KARA, Jung Woo Sung, and Lee Seung Gi receive Hallyu Honorary Awards

Jung Woo Sung, Lee Seung Gi, KARA, and other artists recently received the Hallyu Honorary Award.

The Ministry of Culture held the ‘2011 Content One Mind New Year Greeting‘ on January 13th at the Seoul Imperial Palace Hotel, where artists received various awards.

The winner for the movie portion of the Hallyu Honorary Award was Jung Woo Sung, while the drama portion went to Lee Seung Gi, and KARA won the award for the music section.

The award had previously gone to actor Song Seung Heon and SNSD the year before.

T-ara’s Hyomin has lots of people to call

During the episode of Mnet’s “T-ara Dream Girls” that aired on January 12th, member Hyominrevealed the number of contacts she has saved onto her phone.

In this episode, Hyomin and Jiyeon had the subject of “Do you think looks are important?” to cover, and in order to gather opinions the two idols took out their cell phones. However, while on their phones Hyomin revealed, “I have 941 phone numbers saved onto my cellphone. KARA, B2ST and fellow idol singers as well as Hwang Jung Min sunbae, Song Eunee sunbae.

Goo Hara turns 20 with a ‘cozy birthday party’

KARA’s Goo Hara recently celebrated her 20th birthday (21 in Korea) at her agency headquarters back in Korea.

Hara had a small birthday party with her fellow groupmates, and a representative stated, “We plan on having a meaningful day despite her having to spend her birthday in a ‘cozy’ way with her group members.”

The girls have been busy travelling back and forth between Korea and Japan to appear on shows, fulfill endorsement deals, and continue filming for their Japanese drama, “URAKARA“.
