Airport fashion makes KARA's Seungyeon mad

On SBS' 'Incarnation', KARA's Seungyeon let out her frustration about 'airport fashion'.  

The MC brought up an incident in which Seungyeon told a reporter: "It's such a headache. It's embarrassing to always wear sunglasses every time I go to the airport. It's not like the five of us [KARA members] are insects."

Seungyeon explained to everyone that she was not angry at the reporter, but rather the whole concept of airport fashion. She's used to dressing comfortably and prefers it -- that is until airport fashion became such a trend. Seungyeon compared it to a runway where fans and reporters alike are standing by to take pictures.  

She also pointed out that no one wears a T-shirt just a few times before throwing it away, yet she is ridiculed if seen wearing anything twice. After School's UEE wholeheartedly agreed and jumped in with her own complaints: "When you do dress up, no photographers show up!"  

The two women let it all out, but it's unlikely that fans and reporters will stop showing up to catch their latest airport fashion.

[Single Review] KARA 'Damaged Lady'

Last year, KARA gave us their most demanding, dramatic single to date, "Pandora". After a series of solo singles and some time in Japan, the girls are back to grow up a little more with "Damaged Lady", and they aren't playing around.

Hara's rap in the first few bars of the song made it sound like maybe the girls had changed up their sound for this comeback, but it only takes a few seconds to switch into the racing Sweetune production that we all know to expect from them by now. "Damaged Lady" is yet another stab at the genre-mashing trend of 2013, but a limited number of sections and Sweetune's signature 80's gloss over the whole thing give us a song that is still undeniably undeniably KARA, from the breathy verses to the unison wailing on the chorus. Electric guitar hits and high pitched, screechy (in a good way) synths dirty up the prechorus, giving the song some bite between the gasping verses and in-unison wailing of the choruses.

The one thing that this song is missing is a really grabby hook. We don't have the "La la la"s of "Step" or "Mister", for example. We don't even have a really catchy dance move- the pulling-the-ring-off-the-finger move seems to be the point choreography, but it's not a standout move like some of their past dances. And other than the couple of random, inexplicable shots of members in suits and short wigs, there's not much to talk about as far as costumes go. With a lack of in-performance talking points, there's not much for hosts to talk about on variety shows, which is probably part of the reason we wound up with the 'Radio Star' fiasco.

"Damaged Lady" is good, even if it's one of their more forgettable singles. Let's hope they follow up with something a little more exciting so that we can all stop talking about Hara's love life for five seconds.

f(x) are elegant ladies in additional photos for ‘LOVCAT’

The lovely ladies of f(x) recently became the new muses for fashion accessory brand ‘LOVCAT’ and additional photos from their 2013 F/W season collection pictorial were released.

From each pictorial, the members are holding one of the brand’s items especially designed for f(x). They dazzled and awed fans with their beauty as they posed for the camera with Lovcat Paris bags and other accessories.

KARA's Seungyeon shares her story about a persistent anti-fan

KARA's Seungyeon shared her experiences with a particularly nasty and persistent anti-fan at a recent filming of SBS' 'Incarnation'.

Seungyeon said, "There was an anti-fan who pestered me for over a year. The handwritten letter I received at the time had curses in it. The handwriting was so pretty that I thought it was from an actual fan at first."

When the KARA member revealed what the letter actually said, the host panel and studio were shocked. She previously addressed the issue on Twitter, writing, "If you're disgusted, don't look, and if you don't like something, leave it alone. Must you communicate those kinds of feelings to relieve yourself? Thanks a lot. For letting me know."

Kyuhyun comments that Gyuri's impersonation of a baby is annoying on 'Mamma Mia'

On the recent episode of KBS' 'Mamma Mia,' Gyuri's mother revealed, "My child can impersonate a baby's voice very well." 

Gyuri then showed her impersonation of a baby and surprised the viewers with her realistic baby noises. The cast of the show seemed impressed with her impersonation. After seeing her impersonation, Kyuhyun playfully commented, "She is very good but why is it so annoying?"

Meanwhile, this week's 'Hallyu Idol' special episode featured idols including Kyuhyun, Gyuri, Minzy, Chunji and Ailee.
