TVXQ ranks 4th on the Oricon Chart for the first half of 2013

The duo of TVXQ is enjoying huge success in Japan’s Oricon chart with Japanese album, ‘TIME’!

According to the Oricon, TVXQ’s sixth album ‘TIME’ ranked fourth place on last month’s ‘Oricon First Half of 2013 Rankings – Album Category’ with a total of 292,623 copies sold. The album succeeded in topping daily chart on the first day, as well as weekly chart and evenOricon’s monthly album chart in March, proving the duo’s popularity.

Meanwhile, TVXQ will be holding the finale of their Japanese Tour at the Yokohama Nissan Stadium, which holds up to 75,000 people, on August 17th and 18th.

TVXQ’s Yunho chosen as honorary ambassador for Gwangju Design Biennale

TVXQ’s Yunho has been chosen as the honorary ambassador for the ‘2013 Gwangju Design Biennale’.

Organizers of the 2013 Gwangju Design Biennale announced that Yunho has been selected as the honorary ambassador for the biennale, which is to open in September. They chose Yunho because his image as the center of the Hallyu pop culture goes well with the image of the Gwangju Design Biennale. 

Yunho, whose hometown is Gwangju, will engage in various activities as the Design Biennale ambassador and also participate in the public sector special exhibition ‘My Favorite Gwangju’ with his personally designed items. 

Meanwhile, 2013 Gwangju Design Biennale will be held for 59 days from September 6th until November 3rd at the Gwangju Biennale Exhibition Hall.

Davichi releases summer single ‘Memories of Summer’ + “Missing You Today” MV

The duo of Davichi is planning to captivate music fans’ hearts once again with their new sound.

On July 4, Davichi released their new digital single ‘Memories of Summer’. The title song is called “Missing You Today” and it is composed by producer Choi Kyu Sung. It is a song of medium tempo and it reaches to the peak with sad lyrics.

Core Contents Media recently announced that Davichi re-recorded and rearranged their new title song to present their fans a better quality tune.

Ailee sports nose piercing in ‘A’s Doll House’ teaser

Going head-to-head battle with several talented artists this July, talented female soloist Ailee signals her comeback with first image teaser for second mini album, ‘A’s Doll House’.

On July 3, YMC Entertainment posted on Twitter, “Are you curious about Ailee’s mini album A’s Doll House? For all those who waited for a long time, right now!! We slightly reveal the new image of Ailee’s album!! Tada~~!!”

In the photo, Ailee goes for a funky look with orange blonde hair and a beanie. Especially, her sparkly nose piercing is also receiving attention from the fans.

Ailee will release her new mini album on July 12.

2NE1 heads for the beach in “Falling in Love” teaser

Getting ready for a comeback, 2NE1 headed for the beach in their latest teaser for upcoming new reggae single, “Falling in Love”!

Similar on previous concept, the new teaser photo is perfectly fitting for the summer featuring the four lovely ladies of 2NE1 standing against a beachside backdrop.

“Falling in Love” is 2NE1’s first-ever summer reggae song that perfectly reflects the group’s unique music style and color, expecting fans’ huge attention and satisfaction. The group will have their first comeback stage on ‘Inkigayo’ on July 7th before releasing their single on the next day, July 8th.

Boram and Ram cook for their dad on 'Wooram's Family Camp'

Idol sisters T-ara's Boram and D-UNIT's Ram got together to cook for their dad on their family reality show, MBC Queen's 'Wooram's Family Camp'.

During the latest filming, the two sisters had a bit of a tension going from the start when Boram was a bit late to the set, which Ram was slightly upset about. 

Ram then decided to reveal something embarrassing about her older sister Boram's past, saying, "One time when unni used to be chubby, she wanted to eat chicken so badly that she went to a fast food place and ate chicken by herself." 

When their dad, singer Jung Young Rok, saw his daughters' meal and letter, he couldn't hide his tears.

Davichi re-records new song for better quality

With just few days before releasing their summer single, the duo of Davichi went through a re-recording to present their fans a better quality tune.

Core Contents Media announced that Davichi re-recorded and re-arranged their upcoming single “It’s Because I Miss You Today” along with the composer Choi Kyu Sung on June 30.

“It’s Because I Miss You Today” is a medium tempo song with an acoustic guitar melody, and it reaches to the peak with sad lyrics.

The song will be released on July 4.
