The cast of SBS‘s ‘Running Man‘ found themselves battling in the safari, stepping into their animal alter egos.
Instead of ripping nametags, the cast found themselves as members of a virtual ‘animal kingdom’ by way of masks, which could be ripped off their heads to get them out of the game. Yoo Jae Suk was, as always, the grasshopper, while Kim Jong Kook stepped into his role as the tiger. Gary as a monkey,Song Ji Hyo as a cat, Lee Kwang Soo as a giraffe, HaHa as a penguin, and Ji Suk Jin as an impala rounded out the cast.
Together with guests Eun Ji Won and Girls’ Generation‘s Jessica (a panda and a rabbit, respectively), the cast battled to determine the true king of the food chain.
Despite Yoo Jae Suk’s advantage from a prior game – an extra life – he found himself on the receiving end of the mob, and was soon eliminated along with most everybody else, leaving behind the ancient rivalry between Kim Jong Kook and Lee Kwang Soo.
Although seemingly outmatched at first, the ‘giraffe’ soon proved to be a worthy foe. Drawing strength from his fellow giraffe friends, Lee Kwang Soo managed to rip off Kim Jong Kook’s tiger mask in a surging demonstration of strength.
Although he proudly celebrated his solo win over the ‘Commander’, the remainder of the cast members paid little heed to his victory – even damaging his prize for this episode, a gold crown, and leaving Lee Kwang Soo by himself to celebrate alone.
