2PM stands with Baek Ji Young, Byun Jin Sup and DJ Koo for ‘Shining Water Night’ music festival

2PM held a music festival titled ‘Shining Water Night‘ on November 29th at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul’s Olympic Park.

The event was held in conjunction with Woongjin Coway, an innovative home wellness appliance company. The music festival was targeted at their main customers, married women, with the concept that these women could go back for one night and feel how they were when they were in their teens.

‘Shining Water Night‘ featured the Coway models 2PM, along with guests Baek Ji Young, Byun Jin Sup, and DJ Koo.

2PM’s Jun. K also performed his interpretation of Psy‘s “Gangnam Style” called “Daegu Style“. After watching the performance, Taecyeon suggested that the dance should’ve been called “Grandpa Style” which caused Jun. K to playfully push Taecyeon at his joke.

TVXQ be holding a special performance of their follow-up track “Humanoids” for the fans online.

On November 30, SM Entertainment announced, “TVXQ will meet their fans through Naver Music On-Air with their new song, ‘Humanoids.’ In celebration of the release of the repackaged album, the group will hold a special performance on December 3 at 9PM KST.”

In addition to their live performances, TVXQ will have a talk time with the fans through a Q&A session about their repackaged album ‘Humanoids.’

Meanwhile, TVXQ will continue its follow-up promotions on KBS ‘Music Bank’ on November 30, MBC’s ‘Music Core’ on December 1 and SBS ‘Inkigayo’ on December 2.

Gyuri, Jiyoung and Seungyeon release solo MVs for Korean ‘KARA Solo Collection’

Following the first set of music videos featuring Nicole and Goo Hara’s solo tracks, KARA has now unveiled the music videos for Gyuri  and Jiyoung’s tracks from their ‘KARA Solo Collection’ album.

Gyuri’s solo track “Daydream” features a tango-like rhythm and plays out much like a musical number. The music video also stars Jung Seok Won, who plays the lead male character.

Jiyoung’s “Wanna Do” is described as a rock ballad and features Supernova’s Park Geon Il on the music video’s storyline. Seungyeon, on the other hand, will transform into a rockstar for her solo track “Guilty”, the song which will further showcase her individual colors apart from KARA.

Missing You starring JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun will be dubbed in English

MBC’s Wednesday-Thursday series Missing You will be dubbed in English.

On November 28, an official for MBC said, “The series will be dubbed into English. Voice actors will dub the series at a local studio in the United States.”

According to the official, MBC Global Business team is in charge of the dubbing project and they thought that the series will be popular in foreign countries. They haven’t set the exact date for the recording but they will arrange the date considering the conditions.

An official for the series says, “K-pop is popular in the world and that has raised interest in Korean cultural content. We think that the series is very promising and we want to sell it to the United States and Europe.”

The series is a classical melodrama about a man and woman who have wounded hearts from their first love. Child actor and actress Yeo Jin Goo and Kim So Hyun and adult actors and actress Park Yoo Chun, Yoo Seung Ho, and Yoon Eun Hye are receiving many favorable reviews through the series.

Leeteuk to star in musical, ‘The Promise’

It’s been reported that Super Junior‘s Leeteuk will be appearing in a musical alongside actors Kim Moo Yeol and Ji Hyun Woo, who are also currently serving in the army.

The three stars will be acting in ‘The Promise‘, which will be sponsored by the Ministry of National Defense. The musical is based on actual historical events and figures, such as General Baek Sun Yeop and war correspondent Marguerite Higgins, and will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Korean War.

‘The Promise’ is scheduled to open in January of 2013 at the National Theater of Korea. The Ministry will make an official announcement when further details are confirmed.

Ailee, "Everyone do you need the 'Healing Energy'?"

December, when we pack everything up from the past year and get ready for the next year, is a peak season for concert business. Among the various year-end concerts prepared for their audiences, one show is catching public's eye. 'Healing Concert L'

The show was projected to review the true meaning of the year-end and Christmas. Jo-han Kim, Dong-kyu Kim, Seul-gi Lee, Jung-Hoon Jin, Ha-Jun Kim, Heritage Mass Choir Habitat Childrens Choir to us will be on the stage. They are all gathered under the theme 'Full of LOVE'.

Especially, one musician is attracting our attention. It's Ailee, who had a meteoric rise to K-pop with a song 'Heaven', also having busier days with 'I Will Show You'. She's not just presenting her own show, she will be performing a 'true harmony' with other musicians.

"I'm not concerning to be a star in the show; I will melt into the whole concert with other singers. We are all for a good cause, I want everyone coming our show to get warm in their hearts."

Since she usually made her stages on a TV, we are looking forward to her concert stage. For her, meeting with her fans is always new and fresh experience. I could already see her heart fluttering.

"When the light gets up and I see the all crowd, I get excited. On the stages like concerts, I got to get enthusiastic to make my listeners enthusiastic. Thus, I can sing more freely at concert. I want to show that same things this time.

Ailee is presenting 'You are created to receive the greatest love' and 'Always LOVE' by Whitney Houston for us. And she will make a duet with Bo-ra Shin for 'When you believe' by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.

"As this concert's character, I chose songs that have a good meaning. I am so excited about the duet stage with Bo-ra as well as mine. There's also a medley carol of by the whole cast at the end of the concert, I want that many people can come and enjoy our party."

Ailee, practicing for the concert, has a confidence which is not normal for rookies. Many experiences on the stage that she had recently was the reason for it. Especially, 'Immortal Song 2' had really helped her to jump up. She competed with distinguished singers every week, and she became stronger.

"That stage, I really had to be perfect on everything. Song, dance, also how I look on the stage, everything had to be perfect to make a good stage. Actually, a week as a preparation for the stage was little bit short. I always had much to be desired."

Leaving this desire behind, she had grown up fast under a keen competition. Ailee said "I really had a huge development on my skills on the stage." with a smile.

She had been running without a rest and got popular. But she had never lost her fresh charm as a rookie.

"I'm not really realizing how popular I am except I'm having more stages that I can sing on. I didn't ever expect to be this successful. I'm always promising to myself that I should always be thankful for my fans."

In front of her music, and people, she thinks meanly of herself. She still has a great potential and she is ready to show it to us.

"I'm so happy that there are many people like me. After this album's activities I will, and should have busy days to show my different charms. I want to meet good songs quickly and sing them for people."

Including Ailee, Jo-han Kim, Dong-kyu Kim, Seul-gi Lee, Jung-Hoon Jin, Ha-Jun Kim, Heritage Mass Choir Habitat Childrens Choir will make our heart warm at the 'Healing Concert L', December 3rd.
