Psy, 2NE1, SHINee, and Kim Soo Hyun awarded at 2012 Korean Popular Culture & Arts Award


South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism and Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) held its annual award show, ‘Korean Popular Culture & Arts Award‘ at Seoul’s Olympic Hall on November 19th.
Three K-Pop artists won awards at the award show. SHINee won the Ministry of Culture Award2NE1won the Prime Minister’s Award, and Psy received the highest honor with the Cultural Medal Award. Actor Kim Soo Hyun also received the Ministry of Culture Award.
The awards are given to recognize the contributions of people and artists in the promotion and spread of the Hallyu Wave.
SHINee, EXO-K, miss A, B.A.P, BtoB, f(x), and Davichi were all in attendance, however, 2NE1 and Psy couldn’t attend due to scheduling conflicts. Check out a few photos and videos from the event below.

Seulong invites his ideal type Shin Min Ah to 2AM’s concert


2AM‘s Seulong has expressed his feelings for actress Shin Min Ah once more.
On the November 18th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Section TV‘, Seulong was asked who his ideal type is at the moment and as expected, the singer once again mentioned Shin Min Ah, showing his undying devotion to the actress. “My ideal type is still Shin Min Ah. I enjoyed watching ‘Arang and the Magistrate.”
The singer then left a short video message to the actress, saying, “I’d be very grateful if you could come to our concert.”
On the other hand, Changmin chose Girl’s Day‘s Minah as his ideal type and revealed, “I actually recorded a duet song with her. I didn’t know who I was working with at first, but I later found out that it was Girl’s Day’s Minah.”

Han Ji Min holds first fan meeting in Japan



Actress Han Ji Min held the first fan meeting in Japan since debut.

On November 18, the actress held her first-ever exclusive Japan fan meeting at the Tokyo’s Yomiuri Hall. The event was planned after the success of her drama ‘Rooftop Prince’ in Japan. The fan meeting was also a milestone in itself as it became the biggest and also attracted the most number of fans for a Korean actress.

Han Ji Min opened the fan meeting by singing a song and then introducing herself to the crowd in Japanese. She also prepared variety of events for fans including photo time session, interview regarding the drama and even a cooking demonstration where fans even got to try the food Han Ji Min made.

Her management agency stated, “This was Han Ji Min’s first fan meeting, and she was under great pressure. She appeared rather shy than usual, but still managed to sing the song that she had prepared to thank fans for their support and love.”

The actress wrapped up the fan meeting with a hand shake event with the fans.

2PM kicks off 2nd Asian tour with successful Shanghai concert



Idol group 2PM has launched their its second Asian tour at the heart of China.

2PM kicked off its second Asian tour dubbed ‘What Time is it?’ atthe Mercedes Benz Arena in Shanghai, China on November 17. In front of 8,000 fans, the group displayed their upgraded masculine and sexy charms.

The six members won Chinese fans’ hearts by performing various hits like “I’ll Be Back” as well as the members’ respective solo tracks which were specially prepared for the concert.

2PM shared, “We’re so happy to meet you at the tour concert. Our hearts are filled up with your love and support. We will do our best to show some great performances in the future.”

TVXQ releases MV teaser for “Humanoids”



After the success of “Catch Me”, TVXQ is set to release its follow-up track “Humanoids” and a music video teaser for the single has been revealed today.

“Humanoids” is a hybrid electronic genre which will once again feature the duo’s charismatic charms. It contains a message that encourages people to strive for the brighter future.

The song was already revealed for the first time on TVXQ’s recent concert at Seoul’s Olympic Gymnastics Stadium on November 18th.

TVXQ to continue promoting with "Humanoids"



After successfully concluded the promotion with "Catch Me", TVXQ will continue with follow-up track "Humanoid"

"Humanoid" is the tittle track of their repackaged album. It was first unveiled through their Seoul concerts tour recently. The song is in hybrid electronic genre with addicted beat, with message for the new generation that they should keep moving forward for better futures

The teaser of "Humanoid" will be released on November 19th, while the repackaged album will be released on November 26th.

BoA, Go Ara & f(x) attend TVXQ’s concert



SM Entertainment’s BoA, Go Ara, f(x)’s Victoria and Amber showed their full support for labelmate TVXQ by attending their recent Seoul concert.

On November 18th, Victoria provided a proof shot on her me2day and wrote, “Go TVXQ concert! We are T.” BoA also shared a photo of herself with TVXQ saying, “I went to the first concert of TVXQ’s world tour, Catch Me Live World Tour. I hope they do well on the rest of the tour. You’re the best, TVXQ.”

In the photo (above), Victoria along with fellow f(x) member Amber and actress Go Ara are seen holding the concert’s glow sticks. The other photo (below) showed BoA standing between two members of TVXQ at the concert backstage.
