Choi Siwon’s father receives backlash for Super Junior’s statements about his wealth on TV

On the October 28th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Section TV Entertainment Relay‘, Choi Siwon revealed his father’s response to the topic of his family’s wealth that comes up a lot during broadcast.

Not long ago during Super Junior‘s appearance on ‘Golden Fishery-Radio Star‘, the members of the boy group had boasted about Siwon’s financial power. Member Leeteuk had gone as far as jokingly saying, “[Siwon] can even buy out MBC.”

Regarding the issue Siwon stated, “When my father woke up the next morning he asked me, ‘What did you say on broadcast? This is the first time I’ve received so many text messages beginning at the brink of dawn’.”

In reply to his statement the reporter asked, “Even if you can’t buy out MBC, can you buy all the flowers here?“, pointing to all of the flowers in the flower shop, in which the interview took place.

Choi Siwon responded to the question saying, “Do you think it would be just the flowers?“, causing a breakout of laughter on set.

Leeteuk struggles with sasaeng fans a day before his enlistment

It seems as though Super Junior‘s Leeteuk is struggling with his sasaeng fans even until the day prior to his enlistment on October 30th.

On October 29th, the singer left two posts on his Twitter, writing, “Fans riding in sasaeng taxis continue to follow me up until the day before my enlistment… What should I do? They should’ve just left me alone for today…” and “I have nowhere to go.. ㅠㅠ I’ll be going home to move my belongings.”

Leeteuk will be enlisting on October 30th at the 306 reserve unit in Gyeonggi-do. The singer will take part in basic training for five weeks and will then serve the remaining 21 months as an active duty soldier.

Leeteuk to visit filming of ‘Star King’ in support of Kang Ho Dong’s comeback

With just one day left before his military enlistment, Super Junior‘s Leeteuk will be making a surprise visit to the filming of SBS‘ ‘Star King‘ in support of Kang Ho Dong‘s comeback.

Leeteuk’s agency shared, “He will be visiting ‘Star King’ filming today (29th) to cheer on Kang Ho Dong.” ‘Star King’ staff also revealed, “We know that he will be making a brief visit.”

During the filming, Kang Ho Dong will be officially making a comeback, ending his one year retirement. It’s been reported that other stars, including Leeteuk, who are close to Kang Ho Dong will be joining to celebrate together.

Meanwhile, Leeteuk will be enlisting in the army as a serviceman on active duty on October 30th.

Leeteuk chops his hair off for the army

Super Junior‘s Leeteuk had hinted that he had cut his hair on the 27th with his tweet, and he has finally been spotted with his newly cut hair.

On the 27th, he had tweeted, “My look wasn’t just based on my hair… It wasn’t.. kekekekekekekekekeke“, and fans had guessed that he was either satisfied with his new buzz cut or was telling himself to be satisfied with his new haircut.

Photos of his hair hadn’t been seen, leaving fans curious of how he looked with his new army cut. The leader of Super Junior was finally seen with his new hair, and fans were relieved to see that his short hair wasn’t nearly as bad as they might have expected.

In fact, Leeteuk seemed to have left the top of his hair a little longer than the traditional buzz cut, leaving fans to wonder if he was taking the transformation in steps.

SHINee successfully completed their first exclusive concert in Hong Kong

SHINee World II concert was held in Hong Kong on October 27 at 8 p.m. (local time) at the Hong Kong Asia World-Arena.

SHINee was welcomed by a huge number of fans upon their arrival at the Hong Kong International Airport on October 26.

After holding a press conference with members of the local press, SHINee kicked off their concert 

with Lucifer before beginning a parade of their hit tracks, including Love Like Oxygen, Ring Ding Dong, Sherlock and more as they showcased their vocals, intricate choreography and teamwork. 

The Hong Kong fans in attendance showed that they were true fans from beginning till the end as they sang along to all of the songs in full Korean while shouting their support and encouragement. After SHINee completed performing Bodyguard, the fans sent off a pearl-aqua green paper airplane as part of a surprise event for the SHINee members. 

SHINee will their fellow SM Entertainment members for the SMTown concerts in Singapore on November 23 and Bangkok on November 25.
