T-ara’s Jiyeon soldiers on despite straining her knee ligament

It’s just been revealed that T-ara’s Jiyeon overcame her knee injury in order to participate in T-ara’s last “Roly-Poly” stage.

On August 25th, Jiyeon pulled her right knee ligament during choreography practice and was advised by both her doctor and her company to rest. However, Jiyeon insisted on continuing with her schedule.

Jiyeon stated, “I wanted to be with the members on stage especially because this week is the last broadcast performance of ‘Roly-Poly’.”

Her company revealed, “She has a great sense of responsibility, so despite the pain from her injury, she took painkillers and did her absolute best for the last ‘Roly-Poly’ performance on ‘Inkigayo‘. Afterwards, she even finished up her other pre-arranged schedules. The situation with her right knee has however worsened, so she is currently resting at an emergency room awaiting treatment.”

Core Contents Media also commented on T-ara’s future activities, saying, “We will make further decisions after we observe the situation with Jiyeon’s right knee.”

Besides saying goodbye with T-ara on music shows this past few days, Jiyeon also attended the entire recording of MBC’s 3rd Idol Star Athletic Championships held yesterday at Jamsil Stadium, although she had to be helped from location to location because of her injury.

T-ara’s Hyomin wants Choyoung to be like Bidam of “Queen Seon Duk”

T-ara’s Hyomin revealed recently that she looks up to and wishes to emulate ‘Bidam’, a character played by actor Kim Nam Gil from last year’s hit historical drama, “Queen Seon Duk“.

Hyomin is currently filming for the MBC historical drama ‘Gyebaek‘. During her break from filming, Hyomin took pictures of herself admiring pictures from ‘Queen Seonduk’.

While standing next to a picture of Bidam at the MBC Dream Center, Hyomin expressed, “I want to mold my character ‘Choyoung‘ into someone as charming as Bidam.”

Although Hyomin has a female role in the drama, she desire to display perfect martial arts and acting skills just like ‘Bidam’, and added that she will be working harder to reach her goal.

f(x)’s Victoria recently surprised fans with a doll-like photo of herself.

On August 26th, Victoria shared on her me2day, “Today, I’m going to Jeju Island. I’m going to buy mandarin oranges. See you later!”, along with a selca.

In the photo, Victoria is seen resting her chin on her hand and gazing deeply into the camera lens. In particular, her large eyes and cute expression have received much attention.

The members of T-ara are counting down the days to their Japanese debut, and earlier in the week they revealed their official posters for their new cat like “Bo Peep Bo Peep” concept!

T-ara will begin their promotions in Japan on September 2nd, and release their debut album on the 28th.

Kara's Han Seung Yeon sings one of the theme songs for Warrior Baek Dong Soo

As a leading player of the “Korean Wave” sweeping across the Asia, Kara’s Han Seung Yeon was selected to sing one of the theme songs for the sound track of Warrior Baek Dong Soo, a popular drama series that currently airs inKorea on every Monday and Tuesday on the SBS network.

”Because of Love,” expected to add sympathetic feelings to viewers when used as a main theme song for the later part of the drama series, is an attractive music with a strong, powerful beat, accentuated by Han’s soft vocal.

Star Entry, the production company of the sound track, says, “A great deal of inquiries has been received for the album of her song even before closing the drama series. We’re very glad to think that we contributed to the success of the series.”

T-ara Jiyeon's worsening knee injury disrupts activities

Jiyeon (18), from girl group T-ara, will tentatively stop broadcast activities until her right knee ligament injury is recovered.

On the 25th during dance choreography practice, Jiyeon injured her knee and now plans to take a break, but before that she took part in the pre-recording of SBS "Inkigayo" to promote T-ara's "Roly-Poly" one last time on the 28th.

Her agency Core Contents Media said, "T-ara were ending their 'Roly-Poly' activities on the recent episode of Inkigayo and would have Hyomin missing due to the filming for the MBC drama 'Gyebaek'. We encouraged Jiyeon to rest and miss out on the performance too, but she had a strong commitment to finish promotions with the other members."

They continued with, "Jiyeon was at the hospital before the pre-recording and was on a strong painkiller medicine. She was compelled to go to the recording with a cast on her knee, even though she knew she would experience pain, and then immediately back to the hospital after recording. She has had a cast on for a few days and is relaxing mainly, and trying to keep watch on the progress. The pain is so severe for Jiyeon that she will no longer be able to participate in the 4~5 Chuseok programs that she was planning to take part in."

T-ara plan to promote in Japan mainly in September.
