In support of the affected areas from Japan’s Great Tohoku earthquake, some of the top K-pop stars came together to hold a concert back on June 7th. The concert aired earlier today through SBS.

TVXQ, 2PM, 4minute, 2NE1, IU, MBLAQ, U-KISS, FT Island, B2ST, f(x), T-ara, and Rainbow all performed at the event which was held at the Osaka Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan.

2PM’s Taecyeon thanks f(x)’s Sulli for comeback stage cameo

2PM’s Taecyeon thanked f(x)’s Sulli for her special cameo.

On June 26th, the beastly idol tweeted, “I want to send f(x)’s Sulli words of thanks for leaning againstJunsu on today’s ‘Like A Movie‘ stage.”

He added, “We 2PM have hottests who will play with us, so sa…. sa….. want to eat candy?” He teased his fans by seeming to say ’saranghae’, or ‘I love you’, but changed his words to ’sa-tang’, or ‘candy’.

Earlier today on SBS’s ‘Inkigayo‘, 2PM performed “Like A Movie” and “Hands Up“ for their comeback stage. For the ending of “Like A Movie”, MC Sulli made a cameo and leaned against Junsu’s shoulders, making the performance even more special.

KARA’s Nicole and Hara at it again

Did KARA’s Nicole’s hair miraculously grow?

Nicole recently tricked her fans by faking a ‘new’ hairstyle by ‘borrowing’ Hara’s long locks.

On June 26th, the idol tweeted, “How about long hair?“, and uploaded two pictures.

In the first picture, Nicole is captured posing with her new hairstyle, but the second picture reveals Hara standing behind Nicole.

Netizens commented, “You look good with long hair,” “What a funny picture,” and “You two are so funny.”

4minute to focus on Japanese promotions after HyunA’s solo comeback

Girl group 4minute will be focusing on their Japanese promotions after member HyunA wraps up her solo promotions in Korea.

Cube Entertainment announced on June 27th, “On August 24th, 4minute will release a Japanese version of “Heart 2 Heart” and jump straight into Japanese promotions.”

They continued, “In the beginning of July, HyunA will start promoting her solo album. She will be working on both things at once.”

They will look to spread their hits in Japan this summer.

DSP Media explains Hara’s controversy on SBS’s ‘Running Man’

KARA’s Hara recently came under an all too familiar controversy for speaking informally to her seniors during her guesting on the June 26th episode of SBS’s ‘Running Man‘.

The episode featured her and No Sa Yeon as guests and the two took part in a ‘queen bee race’ as a mission. While waiting for the other members and looking outside a window, Hara said, “Are they Garyand HaHa oppa? Or Yoo-ssi? Yoo Jae Suk?” Later, while working on a mission with Song Ji Hyo, she said, “Ji Hyo has changed. Ah, Ji Hyo?”

It’s customary for Koreans to add a title to the end of the names of seniors, and even juniors if you’re unfamiliar with them, as an act of respect. The problem lay in the fact that she did not include a -nim, -ssi, or -sunbaenim (senior) at the end of their names.

Representatives of DSP Media cleared the issue with Star News, “As it is a variety program, Goo Hara tried to be funny. She’s actually close with Yoo Jae Suk as well. She tried to be as comfortable as possible, but if that created misunderstandings with the viewers, we would like to apologize.”

Meanwhile on June 27th, Hara wrote through her Twitter, “I just saw ‘Running Man’. I’m really sorry. I made a mistake while only thinking of how to make it fun. I really didn’t have such intentions. I was so immersed in the show and worked hard for it. In the future, I promise to pay more attention and be careful. I will be a Hara that always works hard.”

After the broadcast, netizens had flocked to the board to write, “A variety is just a variety” and “She’s just trying to be funny, let’s try not to over-analyze the situation.” Others wrote, “Even if it is a variety, it can make viewers uncomfortable.”

HyunA unleashes jacket photos for solo mini-album comeback!

After steaming up the music scene with “Change” last year, 4minute’s fierce HyunA is back and ready to release her first solo mini-album!

allkpop has just received word from CUBE Entertainment that two new jacket photos have been unveiled today for HyunA’s mini-album. The jacket photos will be displayed on television monitors inside the nationwide convenience store chain, GS25. The chain has over 5000 outlets in the country. According to the press release, the displays were timed to coincide with the morning rush hour.

In the first picture, HyunA can be seen showing off her pure white skin in a swimsuit, holding a baseball and chewing bubble gum. She makes a dramatic transformation for the second photo, and the 4minute member can be seen proudly displaying her mysterious tattoo and striking a fierce look at the camera.

HyunA first made waves last January with her first debut single, “Change”. The 20-year-old rising star’s new mini-album will be unleashed on July 5th.
