KBS will continue their “Gayo Festival” with no awards

Despite rumors speculating a possible year-end awards ceremony, KBS will not be holding an awards ceremony this year.

Kwon Jae Yong PD of the KBS’s “Gayo Festival,” which is set to open on December 30th, revealed through an interview with Star News, “Just like last year, we will not be holding a music awards ceremony this year. Currently, we are planning to pick just one song as the ‘best popular song.’ There’s a lot of discussion in the industry wondering about the resurrection of our awards ceremony, but it takes a lot of time in order to collect information and data for a ‘fair’ ceremony. It’s too late this year, so we will be holding discussions about it for next year’s gayo festival.”

KBS held their “Gayo Awards” at the end of every year since 1984, but closed the program in 2005. Since 2006, the company changed the program to “Gayo Festival”, and began showcasing performances as opposed to awards.

T-ara’s “Yayaya” was originally for Co-Ed

T-ara, currently gaining popularity for their new album comeback track, “Yayaya“, revealed that the song was actually produced for labelmate Co-Ed’s debut.

A representative of Core Contents Media spoke with Star News on December 2nd and stated, “T-ara’s latest track, ‘Yayaya’, was for rookie group Co-Ed’s debut. After both groups listened to it, T-ara felt that it fit their group’s image better, which is why it was confirmed as the title track for their comeback album. All of the T-ara members have a strong affection for this song. Co-Ed was satisfied with ‘Too Late‘ and shared the song with their seniors.”

He continued, “Another song in the album, ‘My Boo,’ was also for Co-Ed. Co-Ed gave up the song to their seniors after seeing them sing it beautifully.”

T-ara's Jiyeon "Cosmetic surgery.. No, I don't know" admitted plastic surgery?

T-ara's Jiyeon is gaining attention for her resposne to a plastic surgery question.

On the December 1st epsiode of 2nd part of MBC 'Golden Fishery - Radio Star.' Hyomin revealed, "When I was a kid I was in the Mimi Princess contest. I won and became had my picture on the cover," she confessed.

Eunjung talked about how she was known as "Little Miss Korea" and the other guests on the show, Co.ed's Hyoyoung talked about winning "Miss Cheonhyung" this year.

Later on Kim Gura had said, "So everyone has won competitions before, but Jiyeon is looked at as the most beautiful, how do you feel about your looks?" And then added on, "After surgery?" which caught her off guard. In response to this, Jiyeon said, "I haven't... I don't know if I transitioned looks after debut, but I looked better before."

Jiyeon seemed embarrassed after this, but Hyomin and Eunjung who sat next to him called her a "smart kid" sarcastically, rectifying the situation. But soon after Hyomin said, "I've transitioned," which seemed to suggest plastic surgery, but Jiyeon remarked, "I like now better."

Meanwhile, Miss Cheonhyung Hyoyoung said, "I'm the same."

T-ara’s Temptastic Receives 70,000 Pre-Orders

Recently, T-ara released their music video for their 2nd mini-album title track Temptastic.

On December 1st, T-ara released their new track, ‘YaYaYa’ composed by E-TRIBE, the same person behind SNSD’s ‘Gee’ and Lee Hyori’s ‘U Go Girl’.

T-ara’s new mini-album, Temptastic has received over 70,000 pre-orders, this just shows how explosive T-ara’s popularity has become since their debut. The mini album is expected to release offline in two days (December 3rd).

T-ara’s new mini-album has 6-tracks with composers Kim Dohoon, Lee Sango, E-TRIBE, Shin Sadong Tiger, and Choi Gyuseong’s participations.

Meanwhile, T-ara is going to have their comeback stage on the 3rd on KBS2TV’s Music Bank.
