The cute maknae of popular girl group, KARA, recently uploaded a hilarious picture of herself while she was doing a bit of boxing training onto her twitter.

In the caption, she wrote, 'I did well today and now I'm on the way home!!! Sometimes I do boxing to release stress~ Swing! Swing! To our boxing trainer, hit hit hit!! How do you all get rid of your stress?'

In response to this funny photo of Jiyoung, fans commented 'She's so cute!', 'She makes me want to do boxing too ^^' and 'Wow boxing!! It will help you to decrease stress.'

[News] Suwon seeks Kara's help in entering the final 6

Suwon Samsung [football club] once again seeks Kara's help now that its calculated possibility of entering the 6-team playoff is slim.

Suwon announced on Oct 5 that Kara were to open its K-league match against Jeonnam Dragons on Oct 9 by kicking off the balls. They are also to perform a mini concert at halftime.

Suwon is currently at 7th position with 31 points from 9 wins, 4 draws, and 10 defeats but to close the 7 point gap between Jeonbuk Hyundai (with 38 points) at 6th position, it must win nearly all the remaining matches. Their already having played one more match than Jeonbuk makes the situation worse. So they are determined to win 3 points by winning this match with Kara's help.

Kara have already opened one of its matches against its arch-rival FC Seoul on Aug 28 and their kicking balls and performance at halftime then were heartily welcomed from 42,377 fans. Cheering from male fans in particular almost made it a concert.

Suwon won the game by 4-2, thereby giving Kara a new nickname "Goddesses of Victory at 'Big Bird' [Suwon's home football field]". From then on, numerous fans of Suwon have petitioned for their additional appearances, and Kara's happily agreeing on it upon hearing the petitions resulted in this visit.

A few select kids in their first or second year at elementary school will have the luck to grab Kara's hands. Those applicable can apply for "Kara escort kids selection" competition at the team's homepage. The chosen 5 of them will enter the ground holding Kara's hands and they will have the prestige to take pictures with the girls after they have opened the game by kicking the balls.

KBS 2TV's drama "SungKyunKwan and Scandal" broke its personal best ratings again.

Statistics revealed today (5th Oct.) show that the episode of "SungKyunKwan and Scandal" that aired on the 4th once again made a higher viewership rating. Compared to the 10.2% achieved on the 28th of September, it's risen 0.2% to 10.4%.

[News] 'Highlight' as theme song for sports variety 'Lucky Strike 300'!

As an unique song that has positive beats and passionate lyrics, 4Minute's Highlight was chosen to be the theme song for the new XTM sports variety 'Lucky Strike 300' which will have its first episode aired on 5th October.

The TV programme's PD revealed that it is a way to attract attention from the viewers as the song has an addictive melody and lyrics that fit the nature of the programme.

4Minute expressed, "We like bowling but we enjoyed more during the recording process". They also said the programme will become a hot topic that brings back the passion for bowling.

[News] KARA graces the oricon at number 2 at Weekly chart!

KARA which released their first Japanese album "KARA BEST 2007-2010" last week September 29th has sold over 51,000 copies landing them second at the Oricon weekly chart.

KARA has been riding the hallyu wave since they debuted last August and since then they have had a successful debut in Japan. 12 songs from their album are topping the iTunes pop charts in Japan as well.

Meanwhile, KARA which released their japanese single "Mister" has been receiving a lot of fame for their famous choreography of the song.

Kim Tae-Won of Boohwal to participate in MBC's "Star Audition - The Great Beginning" as a judge

Kim Tae-Won of the rock band Boohwal will participate in the forthcoming global auditioning programme "Star Audition - The Great Beginning" (Produced By Seo Chang-Man) as a judge.

Sources in the broadcasting circle said on (Oct.) 4th that he would judge and criticize the participants of the programme which is set to air its first installment on Nov 5th.

One source said that "He's selected as a judge to pick the stars of tomorrow as he has great insight into music as the leader and the guitarist of the rock band Boohwal."

"Star Audition - The Great Beginning" is a programme that's benchmarked against Mnet's "Super Star K", which is airing in huge popularity, and is known to have come into production per the directive of the president of MBC, Kim Jae-Chul. MBC are reportedly doing its best in producing it to avoid being accused of having plagiarized "Super Star K."

To this end, they are planning to host auditions in various parts of Asia including China, Japan, and Southeast Asia, in addition to Korea, to put fuels on the seemingly extinguishing Hallyu and scout super talents who will command all across Asia. Those stars with high local popularity in various parts of Asia such as 2PM, Kara, and Super Junior are already picked to host auditions in Thailand, Japan, and China, respectively. (emphasis mine)

"Star Audition - The Great Beginning" is scheduled to air for 20 weeks, divided in some seasons and its participants will be selected by first ARS and UCC applications, secondly by the judges, and finally at the on-scene audition(s). The final on-scene audition(s) will be held with more than a thousand audiences and those who have passed the audition(s) will be announced on the spot.

"Star Audition - The Great Beginning" is scheduled to air its first installment on Nov 5th, and the second on Dec 3rd after the Guangzhou Asian Games has ended.
