Shindong reveals he’s sick

Super Junior‘s Shindong has been ripping the slopes over the past few days in a rare period of respite.

On January 22nd, the idol revealed that he may have pushed himself too hard, and consequently came down with a cold.

“Friday, Saturday, Sunday… I’m here to snowboard!!^^ Yahoo~~ but it’s so hard because I’m sick… T_T“, he wrote.

Despite his condition, it looks like Shindong is determined to make the most out of his vacation, as he shared a photo of himself in boarding gear. He struck an assertive pose for the camera, as if to say he won’t let his cold take away his fun.

Fans gave a mixed bag of responses, as they said, “Enjoy snowboarding as much as you can!” and “Health first, oppa T_T”

Siwon plays catch-me-if-you-can on Twitter

Super Junior‘s Siwon has been playing a game of ‘catch-me-if-you-can’ on Twitter with his fans!

The game began on January 21st after Siwon tweeted a photo from Korea’s Incheon International Airport. “I’m at [the] Incheon airport now. Go[ing] somewhere. Let you guess — it’s going to be fun,” he teased.

After arriving at his destination, Siwon tweeted, “Great city and passionate! Delicious food! Haha. Good morning, beautiful world!”

Fans scrambled to find out where the idol had jetted off to, and finally got a clue with his next tweet. “Ate too much. Beautiful street. I can feel [the] splendor here, it’s a lovely place. [I'm going to] Let u guess where I am :)”

Siwon then attached a picturesque view of an unnamed street, giving fans the opportunity to use their research skills to discover where he is.

It didn’t take long for them to figure out that Siwon was in London, England! Local fans recognized a landmark in the photo (the Ivanhoe Suite) and deduced that Siwon was in London’s West End area.

They left replies like, “Enjoy your vacation, and stay warm!“, “Come to Paris, too!“, and “You deserve some time off ^^“

T-ara gives an $8 million dollar New Year’s greeting

Earlier, T-ara sent fans a pretty photo greeting for the Lunar New Year. In a different message, the girls showed off their quirky sense of humor by posing with large amounts of cash.

On January 22nd, T-ara revealed a new set of Lunar New Year’s photos, where they posed with a huge cheque valued at 10,000,000,000 won (over $8 million USD). Smiling prettily in their hanboks, the girls said, “We wish you good fortune and wealth in the new year.”

It was revealed that the idea behind the pictures, including the huge pile of cash and the fake cheque, was suggested by the T-ara members themselves in an attempt to break-out of the typical format for Lunar New Year’s photos. Despite their busy schedule, the girls rented out a studio in Seoul and shot the pictures from midnight until 2 a.m.

Upon seeing the images, netizens joked, “I already feel rich”, “T-ara, Happy New Year to you, too”, and“I hope you hit the jackpot in the new year.”

f(x) sends their Lunar New Year greetings

With the Lunar New Year around the corner, f(x) took some time to send their greetings!

f(x)’s Krystal posted on her Me2Day on the 21st, “Everybody chu~♥ Happy New Year^^“.

Besides the greeting, Krystal also uploaded 2 photos of her and the other f(x) members posing with different expressions while wearing the same apparel. Krystal stood out especially as she pouted while showing her two sides of her profile.

Fans who saw the photos commented, “Unnis also have a happy new year!” “They are all so cute“, and “Impish young girls“.

Junsu reveals his thoughts on his father’s death

On January 19th, 2PM’s Junsu revealed his thoughts of his father’s death on twitter, “My beloved father has unexpectedly passed away. My heart hurts so much. Please pray for my father to be resting in a better place.”

On January 21st, Junsu further updated his twitter with messages for his father. Junsu wrote, “Please forgive me for not being there with you when you passed. I asked my father to wait for me to provide something better for him… I even made a promise with my dad just a few days ago that I will make that promise come true in March… I am very sorry father.”

Junsu continued and thanked everyone who gave support, “To the people who left good wishes for my father, to the people who came to the funeral and sent in wreaths, to the people who stayed till the end, for making my father’s path be less lonely, I am very grateful.”

He continued, “Today, we held a funeral for my father at a temple my father used to frequent in Pal Gong Mountain, Dae Gu. I sincerely wish for my father to rest in peace. My heart hurts when I think about all the things that I couldn’t do with my father. I love you. I’m sorry”

It was revealed on January 19th that Junsu’s father suddenly passed away from a heart attack. The staff members from 2PM’s agency JYP Entertainment along with the 2PM members headed off to Dae Gu to comfort Junsu regardless of the last minute circumstances.

It has been told that Junsu has received from comfort from support from his members and fans. On January 20th, fellow member Taecyeon wrote on his twitter, “Hottests all around the world, pray for Junsu.”

Preview for MBC’s Lunar New Year Special ‘Pit-a-Pat Shake’ revealed

ARA‘s Seungyeon, After School’s Lizzy, SISTAR‘s Hyorin, and SECRET‘s Sunhwa will all be starring in MBC‘s upcoming ‘We Got Married‘ spin-off Lunar Year Special, ‘Pit-a-pat Shake‘.

On January 21st, a preview for this upcoming special was revealed. In the preview you can see Super Junior’s Sungmin bringing coffee to a blurred face (most likely to be Hyorin). MBLAQ’s Lee Joon, who is rumored to be paired with Lizzy can also be seen being kidnapped. In the final scene of the preview, actor Lee Tae Sung plays the guitar for another blurred out face (most likely to be Sunhwa).

This spin-off has a chance of becoming a regular show in the ‘Sunday Night‘ corner should it do well in viewer ratings. The special will air on January 24th through MBC.

Eunhyuk & Kyuhyun receive 0 votes on ‘We Got Married’

On the January 21st episode of MBC‘s ‘We Got Married‘, Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk, Donghae, Sungmin, and Kyuhyun had a blind date with Kang Sora‘s friends Son Eun Seo, Lee Sae Na, Shin Soh Yul, and Jung Yun Ju.

To impress the ladies, the Super Junior boys put on a variety of talents. Sungmin showed off his impressive nunchuck and guitar singing skills while Eunhyuk showed off his dancing skills. Donghae gave a strong impression to the ladies with his singing and Kyuhyun also displayed his beautiful vocals in addition to showing off a magic trick.

During the voting time, all the ladies selected either Sungmin or Donghae which left 0 votes to Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun. Both Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun seemed to be visibly upset after receiving 0 votes.
